Paul I. Bulat, M.D., FACEP
Chairman/Founder and Chief Innovation Officer for ADOL

Dr. Bulat is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. A graduate of the College of the Holy Cross and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Bulat has been practicing emergency medicine since 1980.

Dr. Bulat has served as President of the Massachusetts College of Emergency Physicians (MACEP) and has received both the Vanguard Award and the Pinnacle Award from MACEP for his outstanding contributions to the specialty of emergency medicine. He authored the MACEP discharge instruction sheets that were adopted by most emergency departments in Massachusetts and has authored chapters in major textbooks on emergency medicine and observation medicine.

Dr. Bulat is the former Medical Director of the Medical Staff at St. Luke's Hospital and is a certified administrator in physician practice management. He is also the former Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine at St. Luke's, which is a high-volume (84,000 visits per year) ED and is affiliated with the Beth Israel Deaconess Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Boston.

Dr. Bulat is the Chief Innovation Officer for ADOL and leads the 3in Lab team. He helped pioneer the telemedicine/telehealth market with four existing patents and four pending patents with the USPTO.

Paul Fredette
Chief Technology Officer

Paul H. Fredette is Chief Technology Officer of American Doctors Online.

Paul has served as the President and Chief Technology Officer of Promptus Communications, Inc. and Promptus InfoCrypt, Inc. in Portsmouth, RI. Promptus designs, resells and maintains telecommunications and encryption solutions for video conferencing, and other communications networks. Paul has over 40 years' experience in the design and manufacturing of electronic communications systems/unified communications and has been a technology leader and founder of three RI companies (Avanti Communications, 1979, Promptus Communications, 1989, and Promptus InfoCrypt, 2003). Prior to his management roles, he was a civilian design engineer for the Navy at NUSC doing advanced research for submarine combat systems. He also worked for Bell Laboratories in NJ and was in the communications group of the RI Air National Guard.

In addition to design, Paul managed each of the companies' regulatory aspects and was responsible for worldwide telecom and safety approvals. He has managed and mentored a number of product design teams in excess of 40 engineers.

Paul maintains a broad background in a number of software and hardware technologies and has recently been involved in designing and installing video conference rooms and audio/visual systems used in the medical industry. He enjoys mentoring other engineers to remain current with rapidly changing technologies. Paul is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth (1971) with a BSEE degree and holds a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1975). He is also a member of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society and Treasurer and founding member of the RENEW Energy Initiative, a non-profit collaborative for economic growth in the region.
